TIVO WEEKEND
Wanted to make you all aware of a good weekend of TV. I don't watch much TV, but this weekend I'll be parked in front of it to relive Ricky James' incredible journey to the Kona coast this past October for the 30th anniversary of the Hawaii Ironman. This coming Saturday the 13th, NBC's 2-hour coverage will be an inspiring show you don't want to miss!

Sunday is another good one as SPEED Channel's coverage of the MX Files continues with the premier of Johnny O'Mara's journey to the top. Johnny was my teamate and best friend during my racing days, yet I have a feeling Todd Huffman and his MX File crew are going to dig a little deeper into Johnny's life and reveal some things I never knew. If you aren't going to be near a tv this weekend, set your tivos for several hours of great material.

Johnny "O Show" O'Mara started his professional career on a privateer/factory Mugen Honda in 1980 and through the 80's was involved in the some of the most important races ever seen in the sport. From his 1980 USGP win, to America's first 1981 Motocross and Trophee des Nations win, to his unbelievable ride at the 1986 des Nations event in Italy, this is the first time the "O-Show" story has been told.

"It is simply awesome that we were privileged enough to tell Johnny's story. Johnny's career started in 1980 and finished in 1990 and we all know what happened in that time period." said Todd Huffman, Producer of The Motocross Files. "We were able to use a lot of never before seen film and pictures in this show and it's exciting that the viewers will get to see them too." Huffman added.
