RC, THE REINCARNATED VERSION OF HANNAH
Hi, this is db...remember me? I've been watching the races and have plenty to say, but I haven't been in front of my computer much. Anyway, I'm here in Daytona with my friends watching it rain. The weather looks great for the next four days though. As I write this, I'm sitting right next to David Izer from DMXS (he just tapped me on the shoulder to show me what he wrote about me) who is writing his press release for tonights show. Look for his release in a few minutes - actually make that about 30-minutes judging from his typing speed.

Timothy Carlson sent me this photo of Bob Hannah from the 1983 250 national at Saddleback. As soon as I saw it I thought of Ricky Carmichael. So you know, this shot of Hannah is on the landing of the staircase jump named suicide mountain. You had to be all of 4th gear pinned and Bob obviously came up short! Like RC, Bob was known for doing whatever it takes including saving stuff like this. He smoked me and RJ by a good 30 seconds both motos.

With that said I'm going out on a limb to say I think Carmichael will win Friday night. Betting against him at Daytona is like betting against Lance in the tour.

With the way Tortelli has been riding mixed with the rougher outdoor type conditions I expect him to do well.
