BULL SCRUB
I’ve been hearing reports about James Stewart lately and they all sound like exaggerations. I know RC, Reed and Windham are fast and furious too, but there is something going on with the way Stewart looks out there that makes you wonder if you really just saw what you saw. First, my son and his friends saw him at Elsinore and were telling me stuff and I was like... yeah whatever, I know. Then my brother saw him out there a couple days later and couldn’t quite explain what he had just seen. He called it…”Jump Speed.” Then I received an email from him entitled, “The last photo I ever took” that included a shot of this bull. We got to thinking, this must be what a jump face sees when James is about to scrub it.
Anyway, the 2005 season is almost here and it’s getting exciting. WSXGP is just days away and the A-list for those rounds is growing. It’s becoming a great tune-up for guys like Larocco, Tortelli, Ferry and even RC who needs a few more practice swings after missing the supercross season. Plus they aren’t an ocean away this time, which makes them much more accessible for everyone involved. Ricky is the hands down favorite for those rounds, which could net him another title – the only one I can think of he doesn’t have already.
Word on the street is that MC is looking really good, while Windham’s progress has been a well-kept secret. Of course these guys will all be ready, which continues to fuel the talk of an epic at A1.
Congrats to Ryan Hughes on his Endurocross win. I talked to him this morning and he said that track was really gnarly! Actually I'm not sure what's gnarlier, the track, or Ryno...
