HERE WE GO AGAIN
Congratulations to Ricky for another convincing win. So convincing that some of us are already thinking ANOTHER perfect season might be in progress. Kevin is in there, but he still needs a little more. I thought Reed would be faster, but it’s only round two. By the time Kevin and Chad find that little extra - so will Ricky. Plus he might already have a solid enough points lead to lose a couple battles to those guys in order to win his 8th war in a row! As I said in an interview before the nationals started, I don’t see anyone beating those three guys unless something happens to them. Of course Vuillemin proved me wrong at round one with a 4-2 for second overall (and he let me know about it first thing Monday morning), but that is only one moto out of four.
In the 125 class, Stewart is probably going to run the table if he keeps this up and suspect he will. He and Ricky are examples of what is possible. What they are doing out there isn’t out of reach, but you have to want it as bad as they do. Broc Hepler rode awesome today, but I’ll bet he is so excited with his results and current ranking that losing to Stewart isn’t that great of a concern. I understand that completely. He should be happy with how he is doing, but when you consider that he is Stewart’s closest competitor right now it kind of makes you realize how hard it’s going to be for anyone to beat James. Another new kid who rode well today was Ryan Sipes. He went down on the start of his 4-lap qualifier and came from last to 9th! He passed 6 riders on the last lap including Paul Carpenter to avoid the LCQ. In the first moto he worked his way up to 5th and ran there until 2-laps to go when Ryno and Sorby got back by giving him 7th in his first national ever! He ended up top privateer too. Congratulations to Ryan.
