WILL THE REAL #1 PLEASE STAND UP
I’m heading out to Vegas for the World Mini and will probably be writing about it when I return as well as giving you my version of who looks good on DMXS this Wednesday night. Ryan Sipes, Mike Alessi, Kyle Partridge, Josh Grant and company will be going at it out there in the A class so it should be a good one. Alessi is coming in hot, but he’s going to have some good competition. My son is racing his last novice races out there and Jeff Ward will be there this year now that his kids are racing along with Marty Smith and his son. While I’m on us old dudes, Johnny O’Mara and his wife Gina just had a baby girl on April 1st. Her name is Shelby and she is a really cute baby. Only Johnny O’ could actually have a child born on April fools day.

While I’m out there I’ll probably take another look at Greg Primm’s Collection and snap some shots of that as well.

Since I don't have photos of the new kids yet, here is one of Broc Glover and I during the last Saddleback national in 1984 on works 500’s….well mine was works. That corner (webco) was right after the scariest downhill ever (Bonsai). I got the holeshot in the first moto and was so excited that I forgot to keep racing hard and Goat Brecker flew past me. However, his mechanic accidentally dropped his bike in staging and it cracked the clutch perch. A couple laps into the race it broke off and he messed up a corner handing the lead back to me. Then Broc passed me, but fell soon after and broke his visor off. They made my job easier and my streak continued that year. It was my only win at Saddleback though - and just in time.
