DMXS LIVE TONIGHT
The players:
We've got a full deck of top shelf guests to entertain your brain and make you question even the simplest things like why Larry Ward had Roll-Off's on during his epic 1990 SX victory in Washington (it was in a dome, zero mud), or why 50cc bikes won't last more than 30 minutes before blowing up and why they are louder than a 1984 CR 250 without a silencer.....all points to ponder but do that on your own time we've got business to take care of.
First off we'll continue our weekly tribute to the blue collar men of motocross and supercross with the popular Wonder Warthog Privateer of the Week. The belle of the ball this week is Adam Smith, and his videographer, Josh Winstead. These two have quite the story to tell and document, so let’s hope Bauer doesn’t bogart the camera with his sputnik-sized melon again. Sobe has a new drink out with a lizard riding a bike with #199 on the plates......coincidence? I think not. Travis Pastrana isn't a lizard, or is he? Each time he has been injured he seems to grow another leg or arm so he might not be that far from our four legged amphibious friends. We'll see what TP has been up to and if he finally secured a seat in the space shuttle to round out his vast array of driving skills. Tim Ferry is a long time friend and frequent guest on the show. In fact, with his appearance tonight, he has earned enough DMXS points for the hoodie tank top, or the monogrammed velour sweat suit. I know he has been eyeing that Motley Crue mirror, but Tim is several shows away from that little jewel. Red Dog will catch the MX world up on his status as he prepares for the Hangtown opener in just seven weeks. Steve Bruhn is a photo guru, and at the mantle of arguably the most influential and monitored forum board within the industry. TFS will join us and help sort out all the rumors and truths surrounding the most epic "silly season" in recent memory. Steve is not afraid of taking professional chances either as evidenced by his camera of choice, the all new digital Polaroid. I think it’s safe to assume we can all appreciate his pioneering efforts yet again, but nobody wants to see him shake it like a Polaroid picture,......ever!
Power to the 2-strokes,

OK, now for the photos. The one at the top isn't Chad Watts' garage. I drove around on a Saturday during the Lake Whitney Spring Classic trying to find someone who could fix my dad's trailer tire without any luck until I stumbled across this.... place. My son and I were trying to keep from laughing because six guys met me at my truck and had the thing fixed in no time for 5 bucks! Don't judge a book by it's cover.
The next one is somewhere in Texas which doesn't exactly narrow it down since it feels like the entire United States when you drive across it. Good thing we took the scenic route!
Everyone who races motocross looks at the landscapes while driving and sees cool obstacles right? Here's a nice double and a pretty technical triple we found off in the distance.
My favorite picture is this one of Evander Hughes a couple days before his first race. While Ryno was getting his gear on, Evander grabbed his own bike, pushed through the stuff they had unloaded, fired it up and took off without any assistance. Usually the dad points the bike in the right direction and starts it for them, but not Ryno. He taught Evander to take care of himself. Two days later he went 1-1 ahead of his friend. He's hooked
